Blaupunkt 55/188J - UMC.

Hi folks,

Just got this 55 inch monster in where cust says the edge lit Led backlights go out. can't yet find a problem after a long run with the back off, but suspect P/S Megmeet MP118FL might have issues.

Note the inverter seems to have an individual drive Fet for each of the four strings, and  although the panel is a bit brown in parts, can't get anything to go off with a whack of the screwdriver.

The Philco looks like my Blaupunkt with two feeds to the T-con from the LVDS panel fed by the SSB.

Panels -
Power – Megmeet MP118FL
SSB- T.MSD309.B81C  12176

T-Con – PH 120PSQBC4L V1.0
Inverter – SSL550-3E1B R0.0
Screen – LT1550H001

Backlight popped off yesterday, but came back after switching set off and on. As the speakers are in the set back, had them disconnected at the time, so not sure if the set went off, although the S/by Led remained Blue - Thanks again - Chris.

Later - Getting worse, sometimes works, otherwise just a flash of backlight, S/by Led remaining Blue.

Later - Noticed panels and Led back panel now on Ebay, but doubtful whether could do the screen change jobby without 75% possible screen damage - Collected by Customer as refused £20 for scrap.
