technika led40-2481

call me al:
Hi everyone Have two of these 40"technika model led40-2481,one has picture but no sound and the other is stuck in standby ,red light on but wont turn on Has anyone experiance on how to reset eeprom on these or any other ideas.Thanks

I might be talking rubbish,but if it's a Vestel chassis,the one with no sound go to freeview,first time install(retune) & sound should return.Only if set is Vestel around 4yrs old.Don't know about the other one,might be worth checking CHS ltd they do a lot of pre-programmed eeproms these day's.
The sound one by the way even if set is used with Sky/Virgin box still do the freeview thing,it does work.

Thanks for reply bonsey .Its not a vestel set however,chinise junk that nobody knows about,will put it on back shelf for the minute along with all the other mystery faults

i think these are the umc make they still suffer from spi flash/eeprom issues though
