Hitachi L26DP04U sound goes off message on screen SERVICE IS NOT RUNNING.

Hi guy's,got this little Vestel Hitach in,which I thought would be the usual i.c/capacitor sound mod kit.
Set comes on with sound,can run for hours o.k.At some stage you change channel & the sound has gone,but the message Service is not running,comes up.If you st-by & switch back on,then sound returns.My software version is V.1.0.0a,is there a later one,or am I barking up the wrong tree.
I've just noticed as well,if you standby the tv,set does not rest at st-by but flashes red/blue/red/blue,also with no sound with audio description switched off,you get audio description! Which is what makes me wonder about software.
My ssb is 17mb60-4.1

Suspect I read it with the EZP2010 programmer from a good board - Chris.

What I meant Chris was,whats the procedure to load software to tv via usb?Is set on,in st-by & switched or just plug usb in & it loads.
