Screen lights up but with no video just a blank raster, I suspect the control board or the main av board to be faulty,has anyone had this problem with this model before? Is There an Auto Gen test for this control board?

On the control board, you have a large chip. At about the 4 o'clock position WRT the centre of the chip, you'll see 2 holes in the pcb marked R51 and R52. These are the 2 points to short out for the auto pattern generator. Guess I don't need to tell you to remove the flexie between the control and main boards. I'll upload the service manual in case you have any jitters.           Bruce

Fitting the link produced the test pattern suggesting the main AV BOARD was faulty, 10 minutes in a hot oven cured the fault. :sign0098: :sign0098: davy.
