Hi Bruce, seems nifty,

Often have the issue where no matter how hard I try to get the lens central, still get a shadow on the screen. Note they also do the ones with lenses which often fall off from new (Loads on YouTube with screens with bright spots) - They're even worse to centralise.

Only thought is that they're usually stuck to the reflective plastic sheet, not the metal backplate so heat sinking dubious. Note the 6v variety seem mounted on a panel twice as long. Guess as some sets use a plastic backplate - Why worry - Chris.

Got a Vestel Panasonic that had faulty LEDs. Replaced them but after 30 mins picture goes. Voltage from PSU drops from about 130 to 60, remove feed to LEDs and voltage goes even lower. Dont have a PSU to try -17IPS20 - but would you say that sounds like a PSU fault. Tried other 17IPS20s but they vary in components and dont bring backlights on. I suppose what I mean is should the PSU be putting out 130 all the time or will it go down without a load - backlight - on it.

Hi Sinclair,

Guess you have more duff Leds. As you don't mention a model, don't know how many strings and whether they're equal in length so you might compare strings with a tester.

Replaced Leds tend to die due to one thing or another, usually too much heat or bad soldering.
