Hi folks,

Have one giving just the Panasonic logo then set cuts to S/by with 13 s/by Led flashes.

Any ideas ? - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Chris,

Code 13 is an emergency SOS usually attributable to the A-Board, but I'd be pulling out the LED tester and checking the backlights, although they usually give you code 1. Rather you than me.                         Bruce

Thanks Bruce,

LCD set for some reason is as heavy as a plasma, suspect the stand does lower frequencies.

Bit daft for a Panasonic but who is one to cast anything ? Chris

PS - Backlights seem nifty, if it was an LG would cook it.

Hi Bruce,

Guess the 'A-Board' is the SSB. Thought try update firmware via USB but the set wouldn't have any of it, just sat there saying 'Panasonic' 'till it cut to S/by after five minutes.

Recall a Quuq chap a while ago had the same set, where occasionally it gave a picture of sorts so he could update it to perfection - 'Bonesy' as I remember, but sadly he seems to have vanished from Quuq, though thought him nifty - Chris.

Hi Chris,

Yes, A-board = SSB board = main board. Code 1 is a failure of communication between the panel micro and the system micro.
These are both located on the A-board, so draw your own conclusion.

Too bad that Panasonic main boards are unresponsive to cooking. Off to fleabay I guess.                                 Bruce
