It looks to me that you have a display panel fault. You should have 2 flat cables (flexies) running from the T-con to the panel. Disconnect one only of these 2 flexies and turn on the TV. Note the picture. Then reconnect the flexy and disconnect the other one. Again note the picture.

If the display panel is normal, you should get a pure white half of a screen on the disconnected half. If it's white with one flexy off, but all black when both flexies are connected, then the panel is faulty. This model has a history of panel failures.             Bruce

Well, those images certainly let the display panel off the hook. The demarcation line is so concise and central. Have you tried another T-con?
