Panasonic TX-L37E3B Green light but nothing else

Hello everyone.
So I have this Panasonic TX-L37E3B which when switched on, the green LED flashes rapidly for 2 or 3 seconds, then stays on. No picture and no backlight at all. I can't determine if there's any sound.
I immediately thought it will be a bad backlight LED so stripped the screen down, but the backlight strip is not like the Vestel ones I'm used to. It's on one aluminium strip at the bottom of the screen. I have a backlight tester but the strip seems more complicated, with 3 wires connecting at each side. I've tested each individual LED and they all work. While the TV is switched on there is zero voltage at the strips however. I cannot test voltage at the exact moment of switch on (I need an extra pair of hands!)
Does anyone have experience of this model or this fault?

Might be more simple - Certain Panasonic develop a similar issue for reasons unexplained as overnight updates stopped ages ago  - Does the biz though - Chris.

Chris, apologies for the late update on this, but option 2  on the PDF file you linked made the TV burst back into life!

Hi Jag,

Had dozens in for the problem. Funniest one was an old boy with a big Panasonic plasma of the period. To make the pound its a workshop job, as five minutes in the house makes folks feel they haven't had their money's worth.

Said chap just couldn't leave his set unplugged at night, even though we'd turned off updates and notifications after the factory reset. He came back time and again, eventually bought a new one and handed us a nice plasma to sell.

Admittedly we only charged for the first call, lots of heavy lifting though - Chris.
