JVC black screen with sound

Hi, hope for some help, I have a JVC LT40C540 LED tv. It was working fine when I switched off but after a few hours turned tv back on and had a black screen with sound. Tried switching on and off, unplugging overnight but no success, any advise please.

Hi,does it mount a Vestel chassis and panel?if so take a look at the backlight led bars,with any probability one or more

Hi Michael, not sure about mount, I turned it on and I saw a faint JVC on start up and a bit of light through back panel

14/10/15 Steve Onion – Goes off in seconds. Turned it on – brief flash then S/by. Tried again – Flash and a crackle, stayed on. Suspected dries – CON302 and CON303 feed to screen LEDS resoldered - OK

Otherwise duff screen Leds where you need take the screen off - Carefully - Set should fire up with screen removed so you can sort any S/C ones. If any O/C you might have a problem needing a screen Led tester - Cheap though.

Not able to click on any links, are you saying I should take off screen and look at LEDs?
