Panasonic TX-L32G10B - Four Flash.

(1/2) > >>

Turnip:
Hi folks,

Have one giving four flashes at switch on. Gather a 9v line is missing. While ago Jordan suggested DZ701 (8v2) on the PS might be the problem. It seemed OK but changed it - Four flashes again.

Next tried get a service manual - Nope. Checked Ebay where a good PS (Sanken PSC10301A) is rather expensive for an old CCFL set.

Wonder if anyone has a schematic or has sorted the issue - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Chris,

Code 4 is a DTV 9V SOS. I've uploaded the Oceania version of the service manual to quuq - surprisingly it even has a PSU schematic, although I suspect your problem will be on the main (a) board.                       Bruce

Turnip:
Hi Bruce and many thanks,

With the Schematic found a regulator 12v to 9v plus two more 9v to whatever. Could find any of them on the A board with reference to the manual. In the event not important as cust wanted the set back so he could go buy a new one.

Why he should want the old one back just to bin it  ? He can't take it anywhere else as any repair cost would be several times its value - Thanks again - Chris

PS - There's a story about a local firm who replaced one duff Led on a 50 inch (you could see the halo on the screen) and charged in excess of £120.00. They mentioned the set still had a minor issue they couldn't sort - Broken screen.

Hi Chris,

Well at least its not your problem now. Know of a similar story where chap charged hundreds of AU$ and all he did was short out 1 LED - guess the world is full of rogues and vagabonds.                        Bruce
