Hi fella's had this  sharp lc-40le821e come in, looked dead but noticed the white arrow on the front of the tv flashing twice a second, tried holding  input and channel down but not working, do have 5volt 3.3v is bouncing around so thinking mainboard fault, thanks

Hi Shaun,

Try holding Vol down and Ch up, then apply power. You may have to try multiple times. These are noted for backlight failure - perhaps it has exceeded 5 times backlight failure at which point the tv locks up.            Bruce
