OLED TV LG 55EC930V defect
« on: November 14, 2020,13:32:23 »
Dear friends!
I have a problem with the oled TV,  made in "LG",  model 55EC930V. My TV doesn't work at all, it has no picture or tone. When we try to start the TV with the remote control or the joystick on the TV, the relay from the power suply is heard for a short time, which immediately turns off. According to the LG service manual, I tested the power supply because I first doubted its correctness. On connector P2300, I connected pins 1 and 3 togehter , and 2 and 5 together. And look at the miracles, my TV worked in demo mode. However I got an unusual picture on my TV display. The right half of the image is darkened and with interference in the image. I turned on the TV with the P-ONLY service remote control. The TV went in normal mode but the problem remained the same in raster! Please see attached photos. What is the cause of this malfunction? Maybe I'm a TV display or something? Or software problem ? Please your opinion and answer.
 Thanks in advance.

Faulty display panel to my way of thinking. You have the LG service remote. Press the Instart button. Enter your pin. In the centre column
of the display you'll see power-off status. In the right column you'll see a log or how the TV was turned off, eg., remote control, AC Det., and so on. Note if there are any artifacts in the right half of the screen.                   Bruce

Dear friend, thanks for your prompt reply.
Power_Off_History in in-start shows this many times: INV_ERROR. What does it mean? Think this TV doesn't have an inverter? Pixels on an OLED panel light up without additional lighting (no LEDs or fluorescent lights)

Dear sir Bruce!
I wrote wrong in my letter. My TV has a problem in the picture on the left half and not on the right! The reason is that I photographed the TV in the inverted position by 180 degrees! Sorry

What LG refer to as the inverter board is what I'd term the panel driver board, the board at the bottom centre of the TV. This board, I believe, has to be aged to the panel, so I'm not sure if it is available separately.

Nor can you disconnect panel flexy cables, because a panel SOS is conveyed to the microprocessor via one of these.
