Left Half of Screen is Tinted Green.
« on: June 03, 2021,19:29:16 »
Vizio E60 E3. 2 or 3 years old. The left half of the screen, split perfect right down the middle, is tinted green.

I am not a TV repairman. I'm trying to determine if this is something I might be able to fix on my own, or if I'm better off taking it in. We didn't pay much for it because, (as I understand it), it's not really a TV. It doesn't have the hardware to receive over-the-air broadcast signals. The 60" LG Plasma we had took a crap and it was going to cost $150-$200 to fix it. For a few dollars more we bought this thing. It's worked fine . . . until this.

I still have the LG shoved in a corner thinking I'll get around to trying to fix it someday. I just don't have the room to start a collection of large flat screen TV's. At the same time I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars fixing one item on a 3 year old TV, only to have something else go out on it in a few months. I figured if it's something I can do myself for not much money, then that's the way to go.

Any help is appreciated.
