call me al:
Hi All .Have this Samsung model UE49MU6400UXXU Ver01 .fault is backlights flashing on and off,disconnected main board and backlights stay on so ordered board but when fitted still same fault.Disconnected the flexi cables to the screen and lights stay on,have checked all the little surface caps on screen but no shorts found so am woundering is it the screen.Thanks Al

Hi Al, These tv sets that have the 2 wide flexies going to the panel return an SOS to the main via these flexies, so there is a hot chance your screen is faulty.
Unfortunately with these,  you can't disconnect one flexy at a time to see if you get half the screen white - you only get a dimly lit screen.

So, its not the p/supply, main board or LEDs, and there is no T-con. Doesn't leave much else - have been caught like that myself.
