Hi folks,this is a blast from the past,have this samsung le40c530 lcd tv ,fault is no backlights,is there any way to force on the inverter board am not sure if its the cfl tubes or a main board fault.Any suggestions very welcome

Hi Al, this should work: Remove the power cord and unplug CN802 between the main and IP board. Plug the power cord back in. The backlights should come on if IP board and backlights are OK.                              Bruce

Re this tv have been working on it most of the day ,doing checks around the power supply but no further on,just wondering has anyone had this fault :41:

Samsung LE40C530F1W back light problems



Fault Symptoms: In s/by. When you disconnect the lead from PSU to main board the backlights come on.

The Cure: Replace IC402 with a pre programmed eeprom. It is situated next to the card reader connections on the main PCB.

BUT AS ITS NOT ONE OFF MY REPAIRS I DO NOT HAVE THE FILE FOR THE EEPROM  Sorry Vince
