smoothie:
hi all im new here, wonder if someone can give me some advise, i've got a 32vk25 i think it is, its a 32 widescreen, icc17. the problem is a couple of months ago the screen went bright and the picture faded out, still had sound but no picture it would come back so i left it off and not touched it , well i tried it today and it worked fine for about 5 minutes and then it went onto stanby, and now it won't turn off.
when you press the power button the red light comes on and the when you turn the on button the remote the led goes to amber the screen flashes but don,t come on and then the led just flashes amber/green. any advise would be great its only a spear tv but seems a shame to throw it away. thanks

P.R.Gore:
Usually in ICC17 chassis this problem occurs due to FBT. Switch off room light & observe area near FBT for spark!   :chok:

hi i'l try that when i turn it on it sounds like you can her a spark or short of some kind thanks

brainstorm:
If you count the blinks this is usually an indication of where the fault is, if it's 2 and 7 then its probably the LOPTX but  I would fit the kit for reliabilty.

Ohm Supplies:
I'd think the set would be flashing 25, 26 or 27. As said before the the loptx is probably the casue, The kit refered to by "brainstorm" is (I think at least) for the replacement Loptx.

it doesnt improve reliablilty, just makes a certain type of loptx able to be fitted, if the kit has been fitted then always use that type, if however the original part has failed (which is highly unlikly on an 1cc17) then its best/easiest to use HR1873.

If its still making the arking noise, fit a new tube base holder.
