Tosh 20WL56B - Driving me mad!!! No OSD, or Menu

Hi again.... more newbie stuff....
Have the above, very frustrating fault!!!
No OSD... or menu functions, no remote functions, the set works 90% - lovely picture tho, changed EEprom twice!!! but no guarantees that they are good dumps, as no programmer.
Replaced 14Mhz (Xtal X100), no difference... very annoying  :wallbash: :wallbash: would love to repair 100% only running 90% at the mo!!
Please any body had this before????  using a 14" Cello at present which was an easy repair (capacitors) but screen is sooooo small... see other post RE 32" Bravia!!!
