daz:
fault is a burst of eht then the set shuts down - 2 flashes
i have tried the lopt and the main smoothing block which i have had cause the fault before,
r618 is also suposed to cause this fault but i cant find it anywhere on the pcb and the components
in the ocp circuit check out ok
any help would stop me takeing an axe to the set

This is an AE6D chassis, with the AE6B chassis this can be caused by one of the RGB chips.
I don't know how similar these chassis are! Hope this helps.
