hello i've just had this technics amp come in with the sound cutting out when on high volume i found
1 of the large capacitors has swell on it .now this where i'm stuck these caps are rated at 8000mf 66v is it
possible to you use 8200mf or has any 1 got any 8000mf knocking about or know where i can order them from

Hi,

you dont write where is bad capacitor conected.I think is conected in power supply circuit as filter.If you have two same capacitors 8200mf you cas use this value for + and - part of symetrical power supply.

Hi , the short answer to your question is  YES, ensure it is rated at at least 66volts, and probably replace both.
