Broken Grundig, help please.

Hi guys,

I've recently been given a broken TV and would much appreciate it if anyone has any info on how I might fix it, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to tv's so sorry if i don't help matters much...

Basically it's a grundig 42" Plasma, the only other thing I know is this code PDP42V61001?

The problem it has is that when you turn the unit on it switches straight to standby, it doesn't have the original remote which i guess doesn't help but I went out a bought a fairly decent universal remote and tried all the grundig (and LG) codes. Still no luck.

I'm guessing I need new parts but I havn't a clue where to start.

Help please?
