phillips 21pt2001/79 tunes but no signal

i have a phlilips set that tunes in all the bandwiths,but does not have signal,,but on one angle i think the eeprom is corrupt at the same time the mcu ic is rather warm and makes me wonder wether it might be faulty or not the MCU is :TDA9581H/N1/0823.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH ADVISE

Hi Celltrix,
 Enter service mode by pressing 062596 followed menu. Check for proper option bites. Wrong setting causes various problems like no tuning, no sound, no color etc.
