hi, i have a hitachi 26ld6600 tv turns on and sound is ok, but no pictures atall ,not even on screen info, channel number and menu etc. any ideas anyone.

thanks for the reply sparky, the 24v supply seems ok it is supplying the back light pcb and the backlight appears to be working.
i have since found that the screen starts to turn blue in the bottom left hand corner and slowly spreads accross, but not all the way and sometimes switchs itself off to.

any ideas what the cause of this is anyone??????

sounds as if the 12 or 5 line is diminishing to the screen, these leads are notorious

thank u for the reply tv tony. i dont mean to sound an idiot but what do you mean when you say 12 and 5 line is diminishing, sounds as if your reffering to a cable?, im not a electronics expert but i do my best to repair anything i can as i enjoy trying. your input is much appreciated thankyou again
