samsung ti-15x5 help needed please

hi all
 i have a samsung tv /vcr combo c17a chassis.the fault is the set is totally dead,no lights lit on front.ive checked the fuse and the axial fuses and they are ok.the only sign of life is a ticking noise from the lopt
any help would be much appreciated
