Peltier devices.

Hello folks,

    As this section is for most anything, and as Peltier is a sort of semiconductor and as I try to mend most anything - have a wine cooler in which doesn't cool.  Got down to the Peltier device which has 12v on it's terminals, but a resistance of 12k - thus little cooling.

    Checked out sites that supply (RS) but a replacement device would cost much the same as the cooler. Anyone know of cheap Peltiers ?

    Discovered at local tip that those cheap coolers, bought last year and thrown away this, have much the same device - Great - Chris.
