hi
check power supply for capacitors bulging or use hair dryer to
warm up caps then spray with freezer to see which is faulty
not to hot with hair dryer

Hello.
Got round to checking p.s. C877/C878 are not fitted on this p.s. 17PW22-4, and unfortunately heating/freezing has no effect, When the set eventually does come on ,no amount of freezing will bring the fault on! Weird eh!
But leave it switched off for a few hours and the problem returns!!
The main board is type 17MB12-2

HI Brian, I've mentioned before on this site somewhere, that I allways clean the LVDS plugs/sockets
if a LCD picture type fault exists. If that fails, then it's probably scrap because the main or scaler pcb
are usually expensive,if available.
