Hello Guys
 :sign0144:

Could I have a look to the  daz`s "scanned the 4 pages"
or may someone have  dump files with active inputs
Thanks in advance

I have read posts , about Samsung eeproms,
I have the same problems with Eeprom dumps , both corrupt, after PWR fail.
2 TV`s LE40R87BDX/XEU
  and   LE40R88BDX/XEU
Just deal on this problem little bit different way
Errased all existing info from EEprom (new EEproms all data xFF)
Start TV with errased EEprom (new). It starts , Plug & Play
both tuners ATV & DTV are working, sound picture OK.

But anyway there are problems with setting
AV AVscart HDMI1,2,3 are not active and I can`t find where to activate them

Evening all  ,   :sign0144:  so be gentle  ,

just aquired a samsung LE40R88BDX/XEU

It needed the caps done so i done them and still wouldnt work so found info on google which was linked to this group so ive joined up ...

still wouldnt kick in so i read up about the eeprom problems with this model but there was no way i could solder a wire to leg 5 & 6 on the eeprom - so opted for the shorting it out with a screw driver ,

eventually after 30-40 goes it finally kicked in and now its working - had a bit trouble getting DTV to work but sorted now ,

the problem ive now got is on my source list the only active ones are : TV , Ext 1 , Ext 2 , DTV ...

Not active are : AV , S-Video , Component , Pc , HDMI 1 2 & 3 ...

i adjusted the settings in service mode as per Kilroys link on group but still no joy ...

Any help much appreciated or a copy of settings which are good for this model ...

cheers
Paul

Hi
i have one 40r86bcx near me with same problem, 24c256 is now replaced and everything seems to be fine, then i wanted to see that problem what you have here with hdmi ports. Yes, you are right, you cant select them...but then i remember that my sony led 46ex700 is doing same, if no signal at that input - you cant select it, only if you put some device to that port - that input became active right away, so i tried to connect dreambox 800 to hdmi ports, all of them 3 is working fine, and that port became active in that list one second later after i put dreambox on and is deactivated if i remove power. So, is it feature you dont know about or tv still not ok? because i never had samsung at home, i dont know how it must be

Hi serg604 ,

I was starting to think the same thing that the HDMI port's only become active once something is connected to them - But i dont have anything that's HDMI to test them ,

My 6yr old daughter is now using it with her Dvd connected via scart ,

Thank's for confirming that this could be why they are not showing up as Active ...

Cheer's
Paul
