sorry to be thick, but do you mean about checking the transformer with a hair dryer???

Hi,
No - had the prob myself where I shorted the pins, counted 'till 2 then ended up with the acid as you have.
Checked back through miles of back theads ('cos this one's a biggy) and discovered that our Daz (Quuq -Super-Hero/Bucky-ball/carbon/nifty/tights) had been there and done it - several times.
Impressed - Chris.
PS - If you can't be bothered to check back, can attach the Daz-Biz, but must duck flack from Sparky.
