17MB22-2 SWAPPING PANELS

Hi guys, I had a goodmans LCD3265D that cut to standby after time and proved it was the 17MB22-2 to blame ,by fitting one from a Goodmans GTVL32W17HDX. A mate came in as he had a 17MB22-2 that was more or less dead.The faulty pcb from the above lcd 3265 also worked in the gtvl32w17hdx for a while. Suspecting the eeprom, he fitted his eeprom to my pcb that cuts out,leaving it with a blank screen no sound osd(backlights ok). We forgot to refit my eeprom and test the pcb in the tv. So I told him to take pcb to his workshop and see how it goes(I forget what make his tv was). When he fitted the my eeprom back into my pcb ,it came up with the same blank pic.   Confused yet? Well we are. Does anyone know if the eeprom can damage it's 17MB22-2 pcb? Causing the above symptom and do some screens have to match a certain 17MB22-2s ?
