Acoustics solutions ASTV 3619WS tv

HI I have a Acoustics solutions ASTV 3619WS tv it cuts off after about 2 mins then goes onto standby light
after about another minute the stanby light comes back on then tv switches on ok again
just keeps tripping everytime

hello
if i remember correctly (and i might not) this is a 19 inch set, some have a built in dvd, the fault is very common and caused by a faulty 5v regulator on the main signal pcb (top lh corner)  the chip is an 8 pin smd ic, if faulty it will get very hot,very quickly causeing the internal over temp sensor to kick in, you should replace it or attaching a heatsink sometimes works

i attached a pic to see if this is what a regulator looks like
do u know if i can buy a regulator on ebay ?

think the number on it should be z1010a
when you get a new one make sure you fit it the right way round
