Hey, could you be more specific? (Are there other related faults ??)

Have you attatched external speakers to see if sound is still output? Does the sound start then cut out ?

If you could post more information it would be to your advantage, the next step would probably be inspecting inside the LCD. Have you opened the LCD, if so it is likely you may find a duff capacitor(s) which is common for sound faults. If you are able, post more info and then maybe some pictures of the boards and you may get more responsive help!
