Sharp Aquos LC-37G4U HDTV Problem
electech:
I have a 37" Sharp LCD with a image problem. The right half of the picture is fine. The left side has distorted colors (washed out and dark). Also, the images on the left side do not refresh at a normal rate (I.e., when a picture is supposed to disappear the image slowly fades).
I suspect that the LCD controller board is bad. There are two flex connectors from this board that attach to the LCD screen. It appears each connector may separately control each side of the screen (but I am not sure). Cleaning and reseating the connectors is the next task.
Hopefully the LCD screen is not defective otherwise the TV is a parts unit.
I was going to buy and study the Sharp service manual. Does someone have any experience with this type of problem?? Any help would be appreciated.

I also suspect T-CON board, try to change it as first. Regards

Is the T-CON board another name for the LCD Controller?? Or are they separate boards?
Here is a picture of my LCD Controller board which I suspect may be bad. It appears to have a switching power supply circuit which maybe repairable at the component level.

LCD control board is te same as T-CON board, in some cases repair is very diffiicult. If you got some skills you can try. Regards

Did this fix work for you? if it didn't and it became a parts TV, I'd buy your box.
