Sony KV21LS30 - FE2

Hi folks,

Have this set, where after mending last fault where they dropped it  I found no sound, apart from Scart inputs, which are OK.

It is admitted that a young person was doing things, menuwise, when the sound went off.

Any thoughts, have checked usual install stuff  - Chris.

Hi Chris,

You may have already checked this but go into manual tuning and check that the little whippersnapper hasnt altered the sound setting to DK, it needs to be on I

Checked install menu, discovering two options - D/K and B/G, but no 'I' available - Eeprom or factory reset perhaps ?

Gather that the lad concerned wasn't on line at the time, diving later into the service menu.

Hi Chris,

If you havent got the 'I' option then there must be a problem in the service option settings or
a faulty eprom. It sounds like the set has defaulted to a foreign country setting.

Spent some time in service mode. none of several FE-2 manuals seem at all helpful when it comes to options.
 
Ah well, at least with CRT Vestel we had pages of the stuff and much chance to practice.
