ps50q97hd Clicking and blue light Samsung

just been given a Samsung ps50q97hd Plasma tv by a family friend :clap:
has a fault with the PSU im guessing
tries to power up but doesnt, relay clicking every 3 seconds then clicking again.

anyone had this problem before. i have yet to take the back off the tv.

oh yea last owner said it took about 10 mins to come on then it would be fine but on day it had a bang then it just clicks all the time now

Some say that probs might be dries on GX801 in P/S.

just taken the back of and the psu board out to see if there dry joints and there are, aswell as blob of solder that has exploded off Mosfet QX801 (must of been the bang  :wink1: they heard) i wondered what the rattling was in the tv  :mellow:,
i have order a kit i have found on ohm supplies aswell.

i will fit it and report back when it arrives in the post.

Hate plasma, especially 50 inch ones. Just too heavy to lift.
