Samsung LE40A457C1DXXU poor picture

(1/2) > >>

Keith:
Hi all,

original problem was dead set, replacing caps in PSU cured that. Customer then mentioned that the picture was dark on analogue TV. And it it is! Dark reddish tinge, smeary like low emission CRT. Picture is perfect with DVB-T and external inputs. Have tried factory reset but still the same.

Thanks

Keith

Hi Keith,

Analogue is history, but what about those PS caps, and what 'BN' is it. Sammys can be troublesome - usually are  - could do with our own  'Sammy Hero' on Quuq, for our very own 'LG Hero' is ever the biz.

Grovelling of course - but - Chris.

Keith:
Thanks Chris and Dave

Analogue maybe history for you Chris, but our change over here in Southend on Sea is 2012, and right now we can only get a few channels, and the signal quality is pretty poor.

Set has gone back now as I have already changed PSU caps, and tried a blank eeprom and factory reset.

I earnt a pound by getting it working for them, so I'm off to buy a packet of biscuits now!

Hi Keith,

You can afford bisquits ? me and Sparky are around the back of Tesco after hours, beating the hell out of rats for a square meal.

Sparky well might deny - just reasonable pride - Chris.

PS - You've still got the Kursaal (a cure hall that's remedy for rat bites - been there)
