Panasonic TH-42PX70B

Hi, i have a Panasonic TH-42PX70B.
It has developed an intermittent fault. The screen will flicker and then go black, but the sound stays on. I have to switch the TV off for a while and then back on to get the picture back. It could be hours/days or even weeks before it happens again.
Any ideas?

  you may want to dissassemble the unit and check the power inverter for faulty capacitors on the primary voltage side. If even one capacitor has failed; the ripple current exceeds OEM specs and the inverter shuts down; giving the fault you have. Be very careful to discharge these Capacitors as they can be DANGEROUS. They can destroy a meter as well!

What do you mean by power inverter? This is plasma and there's no CCFLs inverters on it
Please check Y-sus (IPM module). Test Vs fuse first, good luck.
