So you know what to check, repair kit contains:

Q809 (L78L05)
C877 (15nF/1600V)
C878 (15nF/1600V)
C801 (33uF/63V)
C892 (100uF/50V)
C817 (220uF/25V)

Other known causes of stuck in standby: check D866 for short and F803 for open. Replace IC802 (FAN7529).

I bought a Techwood 42832 hd Digital tv about a year ago. Now whenever i switch it on i get a blank white screen with sound but no picture. I can get it working if i bang the corner of the tv but this has to be done everytime i swith it on. Is there anything that may be causing this problem? I understand that this is a common problem with Techwood tv's.
