Cheap SMD Desoldering Tool

After my desoldering station packed up, I needed to continue the daily work, so I bought from the local chinese mart a cheap soldering iron and modified it so that I could quickly unsolder smd components, this worked so well I decided to post it, although many of you may have done the same or have better methods, please post them. The soldering iron cost me 3 euros, a 6cm long 3mm thick copper rod I got from my elctrical neighbour. With a metal saw I cut 7mm  vertically into the rod, shaped and filed the tip, and thats all to it.
