Techwood 32722HD LCD TV SOUND BUT NO PICTURE

Hi, can anybody help please.I have a Techwood lcd tv that the picture has just gone off,there is still sound from the tv channels but the screen is blank.model No is 32722HD,32 INCH LCD TV.Be grateful for any suggestions,Thanks Dennis.

hi dennis more than likely to be the inverter sometimes it will light up for about 1/2 secs then go out but could also be faulty caps in the psu ie bulging from the top rgds dave

Thanks for the info,new to this,did a tv course umm 100 years ago,still had valves then.
There seems to be one cap with a raised head next to the two diodes (smoothing?)Could that be the problem?Would it be best to replace the psu board?best regards Dennis.

i have replaced the caps that are faulty and the board is fine, if you can test the caps and find them OC or diff value to spec can save lots of mooney

hi you could change the faulty cap first but to be honest id say it was more than likely the inverter panel .i do have a few if you can get me the number i may be able to help .incase you were unsure the inverter is usualy a long line of tx's on the left side of the screen as you look with the back removed .pr could be 2 panels a master and slave either side let me know if you need any more help.dave
