Author Topic: LG 42lc55 tv will not turn on (Read 8102 times)

Hi ,i have a lg 42lc55 lcd tv which has the red standby light on when i switch it on the red light goes off,then i have to wait for apox 45mins for red light to come on again,i go through this around 4-5 times then light flashes green for 10-20 mins then finaly tv comes on then it is fine until the next day.
ive only had the tv around 2 1/2 years
any ideas would be a great help , is it worth getting repaired , should i concider a new tv

hi lee if its the same combined psu and inverter as in the 32lc56 in the corner there is a group of capacitors they will all look ok but all need replacing that should cure the issue do you have a board number ? i think its gonna be eay36768101 if so thats the case rgds dave

thanks for the reply dave,i will check the board no at the weekend i've found the capacitors for around £30 so i rekon its worth a go at repairing before i buy a new tv.

hi mate check ebay buy the caps individualy will cost around 9.00 for all of them rgds dave.ps buy good ones though
