Power/Inverter Proview PI-XXXXTLTX V-A

Hi folks,

These Proview panels come one inverter trannie or two (15/19 inch)  My prob is with Hitachi HIT19WDVB with the double trannie where after changing all suspect or pregnant caps, inverter goes off after half an hour - sound continuing.

Anyone solved one without a hammer  ?  - Chris.

chris try and split screen and check the tubes for discolouring

hi chris i did come across a result with a proview ipos 150 where by changed all caps with no effect ie fault was intermittent backlight inverter although more frequent than half hour intervals then i changed the cap under the rhs heat sink and it solved it immediatly ... not saying thats your cure and without seeing the psu you have i cant see a similarity but may be worth a shot ??

Hi and thanks for that,

IPOS150 - bane of my life, hate 'em. Thought to attach piccy with caps replaced roughly marked. Think to blanket solder as it is virtually impossible to do much with the set working.

Have you tried the two ballast caps?
