Finlux 42 lcd

This set has vestel boards inside 16pw16-2 psu fault is no sound or pic backlight ok no screen menu or sound just grey screen. any help thanks Dave.

Hi, Are you sure it's not a 17pw16-2 ?  If so what is the mainboard number?  Sounds like faulty eeprom on the mainboard.

sorry it is 17pw 16-2 long day i have changed  main board this was my thought but still same.

Hi, If your sure it's not the mainboard, you could check the Tcon (LVDS) board. Might just be a smd fuse?

The last Finlux 32" I fixed was the same fault, and it turned out to be the eeprom on the mainboard.  I had to use the eeprom bin file download from the forum, as the one I had in a spare board would not work with the panel inside the Finlux.  Also If I removed the eeprom and played around with the buttons on power up I could normally get a menu image on the screen (might be something to try).

Whats the mainboard number?
