Acoustic Solutions LCD42761F1080P 17PW16-2 Stuck in standby - solution

Just found a fault on the SMPS board of an Acoustic Solutions 42" LCD LCD42761F1080P. PSU board 17PW16-2. Also used in TV's by Sanyo, Bush, Hitachi, Vestel.

Fault symptoms: Stuck in standby, main supply will not start up, no backlight.

Solution: Found rectifier diode short circuit: D866 on the (unused on mine) 30v supply. 3A rectifier. Was loading the supply and caused shut down.

Just thought I'd share it.
