philips plasma vertical bar

i have a Philips plasma 50pf9967d set works but has a transparent bar a quarter the way up screen (like shown in picture)  i can still the picture through the transparent bar but lighter colored.

anyone any ideas.

hi,have you tried tapping the top of the tv  i had a samsung with a red line tapped the top line  gone it might work
