PS3000 FAULT

Hi all,

My PS3000 lg 50 inch TV has got the red haze error. An engineer how looked at it said it requires a new ysus and zsus board. My question is how easy are these to fit? I have put computers together myself in the past.

Any help would be appreciated.

pretty easy to fit however if your not experienced in electronics best leave to a qualified technician.

theres high voltages on the y-sus x-sus parts so make sure the set has been off for at least 48 hours if you dont have any discharge equipment. and you have to be very carefull when removing the side buffer boards as these are attached to the y-sus which are connected to the panel itself ( usually 6 ribbons ) if you tear any ribbons the tv is scrap and a new panel is needed.

also have to be carefull when removing the x-sus also. as this connects to the pdp also.

its common for pdp to fail on these models. however if you already have the parts from donor set or can get them cheaply then changing them is worth a try. might be worth changing the control board also first. that controls colour mapping for the display.
