Acoustic Solutions LCDW22DVD95F stuck in stand-by mode

Zyphon:
Hi All,

I have an Acoustic Solutions LCDW22DVD95F LCD TV/DVD combo. I bought it from Argos (UK Store) about 18 months ago.

I turned the set on one day and it was stuck in stand-by mode with just the blue stand-by LED lit. If I press the Power button on the remote control or at the back of the TV, the blue LED goes out for a second or two and then back on and the set refuses to come on.

I have read several threads on this forum surrounding LCD TVs and capacitors seem to be the culprits on the power circuit board. I wondered if this might be the case here.

I have attached 2 photographs of the power circuit board, sorry the quality isn't great, the photos were taken in haste and suffer from slight camera shake. I can take again if required.

I noticed on Cap 806 the big cap on the right that the top is slightly bulged and wondered if this had failed.

I would be grateful for any help offered as I really don't want to have to throw the TV out as it is in good condition still.

Thanks.

Hi Zyphon,

Don't recognise P/S but caps look OK. Pic quality dire, give us some definition - also, rest of the set (from the back)  - Chris.

Zyphon:
Hi Turnip,

Thanks for the response. Yes sorry about the quality of the photos. I will take some more photos tomorrow and post links to them with higher definition. I also lowered the resolution in order to save space but I will upload at full res next time.

I will take a full photograph of all the board. Do you want the sections individually photo'd also?

Thanks again.

Zyphon:
Hi Chris,

I have uploaded some more photographs of the circuit board for my LCD TV. I hope these are of better quality than the previous.

I hope these photos provide more insight to the workings of my particular set.

Thanks in advance for any advice offered. :)
