Viewsonic N2060W-1E
« on: August 26, 2011,12:05:47 »
Hi folks,

Odd one - set stuck in S/by with blue led glowing - changed bulgy caps C967/968 (1000/10). Set now comes on and does a repeated red/green/blue/white/black display but buttons apart from on/off don't function  - Pic attached with duff caps in red.

Any thoughts  ?  - Chris.

hi chris
if it was a good old vestel i would say it was in burn in mode, and pressing menu on the remote or on the tv would cancel it, or if that failed going into the service menu and turning burn mode to off, however dont know what the service mode is for that set, so you could try swopping eeprom as a last resort.
good luck

Hi Daz and thanks,

I remember now you mention. Tried a combination and found that turning it on then pressing ch up and down on the set simultaneously did the biz.

How are you on short screen N4066Ws  ?

Thanks again - Chris.
