no sound or any funtions when this happens, switch of and on again it works for a short time, I was thinking tcon but no sound threw me off?

cheers Ronnie

brainstorm:
Hi

If the sound goes then it wont be the TCON

try scarting the set out to another set, prob main board faulty

Brian

Turnip:
Hi Netdent,

Think set uses MLT070A - Check caps C112/C113 (1000/10) C120(1000/35)
Or MLT198H - no info on this board.

Best of luck - Chris

netdent:
Cheers Chris and Brian, will look at the psu and report back later

The scart idea is cool, I was unaware this was possible! so scart out one tv to scart in on the other

cheers Ronnie

netdent:
Chris indeed it was the MLT070A psu, 2 of the caps had been changed and soldered badly! so I changed the 3 caps mentioned, tv ran for 10 mins then crashed again, must be the main board, thanks for the input.

Not sure its worth buying a board for as there is some shadows on the backlight, or patches to the right side

cheers Ronnie
