Hi Jimca,

Noticed this in back threads -

Acer AL2671W
Power
1.  No start, frozen picture, or good pic and sound but unable to change channels. Replace C380 (100/16) on main board near voltage regulators – middle of the board, just to the left.

Never met one meself - all the best - Chris.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this.

Have this model and it's been going down hill for a couple of months. Started kind of crashing when first locking on to the RGB signal after being turned on - picture and sound came through but none of the controls would work. Then it would sometimes not come out of standby, quick power cycle would always fix this.

I assumed it would be a power supply problem so opened it for a look. All Nichicon caps on the PSU and no bulging so google'd the PSU board and found this.

C380 and most of the caps on the main board are TEAPO which are often dodgy. No signs of bulging but I replaced C380 anyway. Been running for a couple of days and not had any problems, fingers crossed it's sorted.

Unfortunately there's another problem with colours via Scart 2. With an RGB signal there's too much green and with a component signal there's not enough green (looks purple). RGB is fine on Scart 1. Think I'll start another thread for that issue.

I seem to have resolved the colour issues now. I'm not sure how (EEPROM data corruption?) but the RGB "Colour Temperature" setting on SCART 2 had been changed to "Warm". Setting it to "Standard" fixed this, but I think the warm setting has been corrupted, I don't remember it being mostly green.

The issue remained for the component signal. I found the service menu (hold down Vol - and Ch + on the front panel for 3 seconds). The R G B settings looked a bit odd, so I did the auto white balance option and played around with them and that seems to have sorted it.
