this set come with top half only.then botton comes lights up very slow then comes on kike photo...sarange on this..help..

Got same model and exact same symptoms. On mine when you press the menu button (top panel) you do see the menu.  Suggests to me (on mine at least) the screen and t-con are good.  You got a menu Chris?

Hi All,
Some photos of my faulty KDL32L4000 - the lower 45%(ish) of screen is darker and bringin up the menu causes a slow-to-fade barcode effect.  Tried scart-out and perfect picture on the second set.
So:
Should I get a T-CON (rare+expensive) or is the panel jiggered?
Grateful for any contributions on this.

Its more likely to be the screen thats faulty, ive got one in with the same fault so I'm quoting for the screen(it comes with the TCON board anyway)

You are not going to know for certain without changing the TCON to prove it
