minor scratches on lcd screens

dont claim to be a chemist but I image it'll be the solvents in WD 40 used to aid penetration of siezed components that makes it a good cleaner dont you find tho it's got a tendancy to leave a  greasy film over the case plastics?

maybe not meths related,but was once reviving an old wooden casing of a crt set many years ago,with some wood stain.put the cloth down on a plastic cabineted g.e.c set,and was astonished to find the rag with the stain on eat right through the cabinet of the plastic GEC.A few red faces when customer came back i can tell u. :s_laugh:

I bet ! I need to find someone whos got a good working knowlage of sammy plasmas now they're not really my thing but it's mine and its dead so I suppose I'll need to do something !

Dont know much about plasma,but check caps on power supply,or failing that get replacement power supply.Hope this helps.

wish it were that easy mate, funny thing is I've got 5v for standby at the psu and yet no standby light? did a good visual inspection on the PSu and must say, even under my blind old mans backlit magnifier I never seen anything sinister !
